Aaron Ramsey believes that he has finally recaptured the form of last season and insists that he is capable of helping to resurrect Arsenal's season.
Ramsey scored twice in Tuesday's 4-1 win over Galatasaray – his second a 30-yard thunderbolt – as the Gunners recovered from their damaging Premier League defeat at Stoke City.
The Wales international enjoyed a breakthrough campaign last season but his own dip in form has been mirrored by that of an Arsenal side who currently lie 13 points behind leaders Chelsea.
After three goals in his last two games, however, Ramsey, who previously went 15 games without scoring, feels that he is finally getting back to his best.
He told reporters: "I am getting sharper in every game. I am feeling good and hopefully now I can play my part as they team go on a run.
"I have always got into goalscoring positions since I can remember but maybe now I have found my composure more in front of goal.
"I have seen the goal back and it is definitely the best I have scored. As soon as I hit it, I thought it had a chance of going in and thankfully it went into the top corner."
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was the subject of intense criticism following Saturday's capitulation at Stoke but Ramsey is adamant that the emphatic win in Istanbul - one, albeit, that failed to cement top spot in Group D - sent out a strong message that the team and manager remain united.
"[Wenger] has been under some unfair criticism but we are all out there in it together," he argued. "We wanted to get the result for us and for him. I think whenever we go into a game, he knows our qualities, always believes in us and gives us a great feeling going into games.
"Every time we go out there we are representing ourselves, our club and our manager. It's important to get a run going in the league. That is the thing we need to do now. We have a busy couple of weeks coming up now and hopefully we can take full advantage of them and hopefully take maximum points throughout December now.
"It was obviously a disappointing first half [at Stoke]; we did well in the second half and almost got back into it. But it was important to bounce back from the defeat and we did that but we've got to keep our form going.
"I like playing in Istanbul - I have scored a few goals here now and I would like to play them every week if I could! But the main thing was finishing off in style and looking forward to the draw on Monday.
