Alexis: I'll welcome Neymar to the Emirates Stadium
The Arsenal star admits he is relishing the opportunity to welcome his former Barcelona team-mate to north London and is looking forward to putting on a special show

Alexis Sanchez insists he will welcome "good friend" Neymar to the Emirates Stadium when Brazil take on Chile in a glamour friendly next month.

The March 29 clash is a rematch of a pulsating World Cup last-16 encounter in Belo Horizonte last June as both sides step up their preparations for this summer's Copa America, and should feature the likes of Chelsea duo Oscar and Willian, Liverpool's Philippe Coutinho and Juventus star Arturo Vidal.

But it is a reunion with Neymar - his former team-mate at Barcelona - that excites Alexis most as he hopes to shine for Chile in the stadium that has witnessed 14 of his 18 Arsenal goals this season.

“I’m so excited and honoured to be playing for the national team of Chile, against our great rivals Brazil, in front of the incredible Arsenal fans at Emirates Stadium,” the 26-year-old told reporters.

“I also look forward to playing against my good friend Neymar and welcoming him and the rest of the Brazil team to Emirates Stadium in March.

“Matches between Brazil and Chile are always exciting encounters, and for me, to play this game at Emirates Stadium will make the match even more special.”
