Thibaut Courtois believes Atletico Madrid have proven they are at the same level as Barcelona and is confident they can get a good result in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie.
Atleti and Barca have met three times before in 2013-14, with all three encounters ending in a draw and Courtois is optimistic Diego Simeone's men can deny the Catalans once more.
"We have shown this season that we are at the same level as Barcelona. They were all tight encounters with very few goals. Another tough game awaits, but we will be ready," Courtois told Marca.
"We hope to get a good result, but we will have to wait and see what happens. It is always special to play at Camp Nou and we are keen to get a good result ahead of the second leg.
"We want to win, but even a draw or a 2-1 defeat would be a good result for us. A result like that would keep the tie alive. Of course, an away win would be the ideal scenario.
"Barcelona will start with attacking intentions, because they know we are very strong at the Vicente Calderon. We have to defend well and try and hit them on the counterattack."
The return at the Vicente Calderon is scheduled to take place on April 9.
